Brother David Skarda, C.Ss.R., dies at age 70

Brother Charles J. (David) Skarda, C.Ss.R., died November 7 at St. Alphonsus Villa in New Smyrna Beach, Fla. He was 70.

Brother David made his profession on August 2, 1969, and served in ministry to the deaf for many years. In 1990 he became assistant director of St. John Neumann Residence in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. In 2009 he moved to St. Alphonsus Villa in New Smyrna Beach.

His funeral Mass was held November 17 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Baltimore.
