Lenten reflection, day 14

Scripture readings: Jeremiah 17:5-10; Psalm 1; Luke 16:19-31

Today’s readings remind us that trust and hope in God are important. As humans we are not perfect and do not know everything. We are all limited in our abilities, and as created beings we are not meant to know it all.

Yes, we need to discuss and look for solutions to problems, but most important, we must always keep doing good, even if we feel like it’s a waste of time or get discouraged because our solutions didn’t work the first time.

Doing God’s will means helping the poor and one another. We must realize that even though we are limited, we as human beings do more good than evil. So let us continue to do God’s will by helping one another and the poor.
