Funeral services will be June 21 in Dominica for Deacon Kevin Bellot, C.Ss.R.

Deacon Kevin Bellot, who was scheduled to be ordained to the priesthood in August in his native Dominica, died suddenly June 10 while serving with the Redemptorists in St. Lucia, West Indies. He was 29.

A memorial Mass will be held June 15 in St. Lucia. A funeral Mass will be celebrated June 21 at Our Lady of Fatima in Newtown, Dominica. Burial will follow at Holy Redeemer Retreat Center in Eggleston.

A memorial Mass will also be celebrated June 22 at 7 p.m. at St. Katharine Drexel Church, 517 Blue Hill Ave., Boston, MA.

Deacon Kevin was born January 7, 1983 in Roseau, Dominica. He professed vows as a Redemptorist August 8, 2007. He graduated in May from Boston College’s School of Theology and Ministry, and was scheduled to be ordained August 8. Prior to beginning his assignment in St. Lucia, Deacon Kevin had been a member of the Redemptorist formation community at Boston’s Mission Church.
