Chapter Chat: Redemptorist with ties to Baltimore elected Vicar General

Statement from Baltimore Provincial, Very Rev. Patrick Woods, on the election of Rev. Enrique Lopez as Vicar General of the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer:

The Baltimore Province congratulates Father Enrique Lopez, originally from our Vice-Province of Asuncion, Paraguay, on his election as Vicar General of the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer. As Vicar General he will assist the Superior General and the General Council in governing the worldwide Congregation.

Father Enrique studied at St. Alphonsus College in Suffield, CT, and received his theological training at Mount St. Alphonsus Seminary in Esopus, NY. He is well known to the confreres of the Baltimore Province from his presence at our Provincial Chapters, his work on the Brothers Commission, and his many visits to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish on 61st Street in New York City.

As a member of Vice-Province of Asuncion, which is part of the Baltimore Province, we congratulate him on his election to this new position. May the Lord and Our Mother of Perpetual Help bless him always.
