Annual Mass in remembrance of deceased Redemptorists to be held Oct 30 in Esopus, NY

Family, friends and confreres will gather on Sunday, October 30 to remember and to pray for four Redemptorist missionaries and one Redemptoristine sister who died this last year.  The Memorial Mass will be held at 3 p.m. in the chapel at Mount St. Alphonsus Retreat Center, and will be followed by a prayer service at the Redemptorist cemetery on the grounds.  This year’s Memorial Mass will be the last held at the Mount as the Redemptorists will cease ministry there at the end of this year.

Please join us in praying for the repose of the souls of the following Redemptorists and Redemptoristines who have died this year:

Rev. Theodore "Ted" Heyburn, C.Ss.R.
Rev. George Bridge, C.Ss.R.
Brother Manuel Martinez Gonzalez, C.Ss.R.
Rev. J. Virgil Caskey, C.Ss.R.
Sr. Margaret "Peg" Banville, O.Ss.R.
Rev. Joseph Oppitz, C.Ss.R.
