In honor of the Neumann Year, celebrating the 200th birthday of this great saint, the Redemptorist-run San Alfonso Retreat House in Long Branch, NJ, has chosen St. John Neumann as the patron of their retreat year.
The theme will be "The Extraordinary Holiness of the Ordinary Catholic," and conference topics include:
— an overview of the life of St. John Neumann
— reflections on his, and our, ordinary path to holiness
— Neumann’s love for and devotion to the Eucharist and to Mary
— challenges of Neumann’s day, and the similarities between his time and ours
