Isaiah 50:4-9; Psalm 69; Matthew 26:14-25
There is no more sacred week than Holy Week. It is an opportunity for all of us to reflect on four points of our precious faith:
1. The tremendous love God showed us by dying on a cross: “There is no greater love than this, than to give one’s life for another” (John 15:13). Jesus calls us to love him and others as he loves us.
2. God’s forgiveness of our sins: “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they are doing” (Luke 23:34). He forgives our sins and calls us to forgive others—and even ourselves—as he does.
3. He lived and died doing the will of his Father. He calls us to seek and do the will of God in our life, not our own will and desires.
4. He lived and died giving honor and glory to his Father. May we do the same.
Let us meditate on these four points of our faith during this most holy time.
